MEET HANNAH OLDS
Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist
Since 2007, helping people find freedom has been my passion. Whether you struggle with an eating disorder, disordered or emotional eating, poor body image, low self-esteem, anxiety, or depression, there is hope and healing for you, and I would be honored to help you reach it. In this ever-changing world, I offer video and phone sessions, so you can achieve your goals from the comfort of your home.
I received my training and experience at two of the nation's top eating disorder treatment centers (Remuda Ranch and Eating Recovery Center), and have a passion for helping my clients attain freedom, contentment and fulfilling lives. In addition to eating and anxiety disorders, I have experience with body image issues, OCD, trauma, self-esteem issues and depression.
My style is warm and relational, as I believe that a strong therapist-client relationship is a crucial ground from which to work. In addition to my interpersonal style, I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and narrative therapy. I believe that understanding why we continue to use ineffective behaviors or engage in unhelpful patterns is fundamental, while at the same time, it's important to accept and learn to manage certain elements of our temperaments.
When I'm not in therapist-mode, I'm busy running after my three young sons, who keep me on my toes! My husband, kids and I love to be outdoors as much as possible! I also enjoy curling up with a good book, and spending time with friends and family all over the country.

This verse has been meaningful in my personal life, and has formed the foundation for my counseling approach. I believe Jesus wants us to be free. He came to set us free so that we could be truly free; yet we remain in bondage to fear, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, body image issues, relationship issues...and the list goes on. My goal as a Christian counselor is to help my clients attain the freedom we are meant to have. Does this mean an easy life, free from suffering? Of course not. But it does mean tapping into the peace that He provides.

DO YOU WORK WITH CHILDREN?
I only work with adults over the age of 18.
I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A [PHYSICIAN, PSYCHIATRIST, REGISTERED DIETITIAN], WILL YOU COMMUNICATE WITH THEM?:
Yes! Communication between treatment team members is vital. If you're working with another provider, simply sign a release and I will gladly communicate with them. There is no charge for this communication.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I do not accept any insurance plans. However, at your request I will provide you with a super bill, which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement.
I'M NOT A CHRISTIAN, WILL YOU STILL WORK WITH ME?
Of course! I offer counseling from a Christian perspective for those who request it, but honor all orientations and belief systems!
